Abstract

In these pages, you will find a systematization of the experiences of the University Environmental Projects Network (Red PRAU Meta), made up of seven universities that are part of the Board of Rectors and Directors of Higher Education Institutions with a presence in Meta-MERUM. This document shows that teamwork and networking enable inter-institutional synergy to respond to the challenges of the territory.

Over a period of ten years (2013-2023), various university strategies have been implemented to raise awareness, provide training, and promote the adoption of environmental education policy in the department, as a cross-cutting axis for reflection and ongoing debate on sustainable development as a basis for change and an element of transformation in the relationships between society, nature, and culture, which goes beyond activism and promotes comprehensive academic, administrative, legal, and financial actions to improve the quality of life and conserve the natural resources of our beautiful Orinoquia region.
