Abstract
Economic growth demands that the departments export their goods and services, but crossing the border of national territory implies taking on the challenges posed by international trade. One of the first challenges to get ahead in the export bet lies in the criterion of institutions and organizations to design joint actions to project the economy abroad.
This book presents an overview of international agreements and the competitiveness of the department of Meta, as a preamble to recognize the importance of the Andean Community in international trade. In addition, it establishes the starting point for a prospective analysis that considers the participation of the actors involved in the growth and economic development of the department, with the purpose of proposing the actions that should be followed to conquer the Andean market, the international market most related to Meta. The author invites us to build a promising future, as long as we commit ourselves to design the future we want and need.
